A disappointing weigh-in

This week’s weigh-in was disheartening to say the least.

I did manage to lose half a pound, but after the hard work I’ve put in over the last month, I’m not happy with the results that I’m seeing. Only three pounds down in four weeks when I’ve been sticking to the plan, writing everything down and avoiding all sorts of temptations.

The thing is, I know the Slimming World plan works for me – it has in the past. I just don’t understand what’s going wrong – and it’s REALLY frustrating. I handed in my food diary, so maybe some issues can be spotted. I’ll be surprised if any problems are discovered, though.

Otherwise, all I can think is that my post-baby body wants to hang on to the pounds more stubbornly than before. Grrreat. If that’s the case, it needs to get over it.

To top it off, I found out that it was my lovely consultant’s last week. She got a promotion at her full-time job, and her new responsibilities there plus SW were just too much.

I’m so happy for her that her career is headed in a good direction, but I’m really going to miss her. She has been so supportive throughout my pregnancy and the first few months of getting back on track after baby was born. Going to meetings was like going to see a friend and, while I’m sure the new consultant will be wonderful too, it’s just not going to be the same.

Well, here’s to a new week and fingers crossed that the scales are kinder next Monday. I have plans on Friday, Saturday and Sunday – that’s SO unusual for me! There will certainly be some high-calorie foods that will be difficult to pass up, but I’m planning to have lots of free foods around to help keep me feeling full.
