So, the other day, I posted some pictures that I took at my parents’ house – of some of the animals that live there. Did you see it? If not, click here.
Then Baby and I got on an airplane and flew several thousand miles. Then we got on another airplane and flew a few more thousand miles. Then we got on a much smaller airplane and flew a few hundred miles.
While I had planned pretty well for all the flying, one thing I hadn’t thought about was the fact that my phone doesn’t have any games on it. To be honest, I didn’t think I’d have much down-time. Plus, I generally try to save as much space on my phone as possible for photos and games aren’t much of a priority.
Anyway, once Pumpkin finally fell asleep somewhere over the Atlantic, I got pretty bored – but was unable to sleep as I kept wanting to check on her every few minutes.
I spent some time browsing through photos of the trip, then started playing around with one of the photo editing apps (Aviary). It has a “sticker” tool that I’d never paid much attention to. But the stickers, combined with the animal photos that I’d taken previously kept me occupied for a while.
The ridiculousness of the finished images also entertained me for at least a few minutes. Hey, it was a loooong flight.
I think the chicken in a sombrero is my favourite.
I also played around with a photo I took of Pumpkin on our last night in America. I don’t usually go for lots of filters and borders and such, but I quite liked the final pic.
How do you like to keep occupied when you find a few unexpected minutes of downtime?
