Out and about
It has been a busy week with a little girl who has decided she doesn’t want to take naps (and a tired/overworked mummy who really thinks she should snooze for a while).
So, there’s been our normal playgroups (which I’m really going to miss when they all shut down for the summer… what ARE we going to do??), as well as a few extra trips out and about.
We went to the library on Thursday afternoon, but Pumpkin was far more interested in the blocks than the books.
There was also our local fun day on Saturday, which included ice cream, cake, a “giant fruit machine” – with people inside it selecting real pieces of fruit – and even some bagpipes.
Fun at home
We’ve been doing lots of singing and signing while at home and a combination of Twirlywoos and Mr Tumble has helped me get at least a little bit of work done.
Pumpkin and I also spent a long time on the floor playing with a scarf the other day – games like peekaboo and just swirling it around.
Oh, and she helped loads during my Mummy Workout class by laying on the floor next to me during the ab exercises (or trying to stand on my head) and during the stretching, she practiced touching her toes. All very cute.
My favourite moment was…
She has mastered the sign for “yummy,” which, as you would guess is rubbing her tummy in circles. Now when she eats things she likes, she does the sign and goes “Mmmm”.
This week last year in photos:

1. Baby’s first World Cup.
2. Hanging out in her pram.
3. A “selfie”.
4. Testing her new high chair out.
5. A wee Scottish girl on her first trip to Scotland.
6. Mummy-baby selfie.
7-8. Visiting the Kelpies near Falkirk.
9. Snoozing.
I love the look of the cupcake! I was horrified when our one stopped taking lunchtime naps, i didn’t know how I would cope but we have adjusted pretty easily although she occasionally has a long nap on a Sunday and when that happens I do too – it would be rude not to! I’ve managed to link up after it being on my to do list so hopefully we’ll communicate more over the next few weeks / months x
How cute that she is copying you exercise! That’s so sweet! What was the lying on the floor about at playgroup?! Funny aren’t they?! X
Cute. It’s funny how something as simple as a scarf can keep kids entertained for ages! #myweekataglance
