Out and about

I’ve been a bit of a hermit this week, between trying to get work done for end-of-the-month deadlines and cooking/cleaning in preparation for our Thanksgiving party on Saturday.

On Thursday, we went out to dinner for ‘real Thanksgiving‘ in Central london.

Fun at home

After figuring out how to stand up last week, Pumpkin has been putting her new-found skill to the test pretty much constantly. I can’t believe her little legs aren’t tired! I’ve been chasing her around a LOT.

Saturday was our annual Thanksgiving party, which featured lots of food, a Tower of Pie and a few rounds of Cards Against Humanity… followed by some quality time with my dishwasher.

Time for me

The only me-time I really got this week was when I was cooking – Friday night and Saturday morning. While it was a lot of work, I also really enjoyed it.

My happiest moment was…

Most of the day yesterday was fabulous. If I has to choose one best moment, though, it would have to be during Cards Against Humanity when a card combination came up that involved “vigorous jazz hands” and Bees. Angry bees. The actual content of the cards isn’t really suitable for this blog… But I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much. There were tears.. 🙂

Giving Pumpkin a shampoo mohawk was pretty brilliant as well.

Next week I would like to try…

We’ve got a few nights away this week – but I’d like to try a bit of healthy eating to make up for how wonderfully terrible I’ve been over the last week. We’ll see if that actually happens though. Maybe I’ll try to get a few walks in as well. I have a pedometer to review, so that’ll be some good motivation to get out and move around some.

  2. Mmmm tower of pie!!

Sounds like a fab week, and your Thanksgiving celebrations sound ace. I get stressed cooking for more than two people but I’m glad you enjoyed it. Have I been living under a rock? Because I’ve never heard of Cards Against Humanity? It sounds fun though.

Thanks for joining in with our #HappyDaysLinky
