An outfit to remember – 30/9/14

I’ve seen so many adorable kids’ fall fashions on the blogs that I read. Autumn has always been my favourite season: it’s socially acceptable to eat pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread and pumpkin cake and I love wearing autumn clothes – particularly scarves.

Now that the shops are full of autumn clothing, I’m finding it especially hard not to buy everything I see for Pumpkin. It’s all so adorable. And, it won’t be long until the amazing baby-sized Christmas party dresses are on the shelves. It’s going to be difficult to show restraint!

This linky is here to help us share our favourite outfits that our kids wear – posts can feature old clothing or new, and they can be just a picture or a bit of commentary. And remember, it doesn’t have to be fashionable. Silly outfits or anything memorable is great too!

Find out more.

My post

I realised that I haven’t told the story of the pink tartan dress that’s used in the badge for this linky.

tartan dress

Hubby actually bought this dress at Mothercare back in December, about two months before Pumpkin was born. He fell in love with it and brought it home as a surprise for me. I think there were some squeals of delight on my part and probably some hormonal crying – I *was* about seven months pregnant, after all!

The dress was a 3-6 month size, so Pumpkin wasn’t able to wear it for some time. But, when her Scottish Grandparents had a 30th wedding anniversary party just before she turned three months old, we knew that the dress would be perfect.

The frilly shoes (also from Mothercare) lasted only a few minutes. the cardigan and headband were from Matalan.

  1. That’s a gorgeous dress – my girls have pink tartan dresses that are very similar and I love them. Your little Pumpkin looks adorable in her dress

    • Thanks so much! Feel free to link up – just a quick post with a photo in it. 🙂 It’s not a busy linky yet, but hopefully it’ll start growing soon!
