Our week in photos 28/6/15

1. A church hall full of toys and my daughter wants to play with clothes hangers.
2. A little too big for the bouncy chair now.
3. I love this outfit.
4. Watching the iPad and drawing on the Kindle. (Pregnant me would have had a fit thinking my child would be playing with a tablet – not to mention two! Silly pregnant me.).
5. After their Father’s Day breakfast.
6. She loves playing with dinosaurs.
7. “Helping” in the kitchen.
8. Sitting in a chair at Starbucks “like a big girl”.
9. She’s not much into colouring yet – but she loves to see how many crayons she can hold in one hand.

Out and about

After last week’s inability to get out practically at all, this week was all about activities. Trying to get back into routines – that sort of thing.

So we went out a lot. There was the local play group and swimming, plus our normal Sing and Sign class and Mini Montessori. We also went down for wanderings around the shops and Daddy-man took her on a trip to the park on Wednesday. I think they might have even kicked the football around a bit.

Sunday was also Father’s Day, which meant a big breakfast at a local cafe.

Fun at home

Pumpkin has been enjoying getting into EVERYTHING she can lately. It’s driving me a bit mad and she’s convinced everything we own needs to be on the floor, rather than a shelf/table/etc.

This includes my coffee, Daddy-man’s red wine (oh, no, actually that belongs on the sofa, apparently). And all the pots and pans.

Yesterday, I broke out the baby-proofing latches that we bought in December and installed one. It took me an hour and I had a sulk on the kitchen floor, but at least the cabinet with soaps and bleach is now secured. Four more to go…

Time for me

Definitely not done well with this week. When I’m not chasing around the baby, I’m trying to catch up with work. Hopefully things calm down next week and I can relax a bit.

Daddy-man and I did spend an hour discussing the plot for my first attempt at writing a murder mystery though. That was fun – and productive – and Pumpkin didn’t mind because we were playing with her at the same time. I have a lot more details to iron out though before I actually start writing.

And my poor blog has been terribly neglected too.

My favourite moment was…

Listening to Daddy-man and Pumpkin watching Tangled in the bedroom together – I love it when he sings along with the movie to her.

  1. Such a busy week, I love getting back into a normal routine after being away though.
Love the photo with the coat hangers, typical toddlers!

  2. Love all your photos! What a great idea comparing them with last years! They grow up so quick it’s so lovely looking back x

  3. Aww daddy singing along is so cute! Hope you adjusting to being back in the UK. Thanks for joining in #HappyDaysLinky x

  4. Haha, oh you have to record Daddy-man singing with Pumpkin on your phone or something. Just so whenever you need cheering up, you can pull it out of your pocket and have a little listen.

Jasmine also finds boring old household items much more interesting than her toys. But better than that? The dog’s toys. I despair!

    Thanks for joining our #Happydayslinky
