1. She has almost figured how to pull herself up. Time to lower the cot again… 2. A cheeky smile while crawling around the lift lobby; 3. We call this look “Indie-rock Halloween chic with Wicked Witch of the East influence”; 4. New-to-us Jumperoo; 5. Passed out in Daddy-man’s arms; 6. Playing on the swings at the park; 7. A brief attempt at painting; 8. My candy corn socks; 9. That’s now how bowls work, honey.

Last week’s goals

Last week, I vowed to try to get the flat cleaned up and to get to bed at least once before midnight. Did I manage either of these? Nope. Not even a little bit.

I really did try to clean, and felt really good about my effort on Monday, but it didn’t last long. I thought I might see the bottom of the laundry basket on Thursday (would have been the first time since Pumpkin was born) but it sunk back down under a pile of clothes that I discovered Hubby had been squirreling away begin the bedroom door.

Maybe I’ll finally excavate it this week.

Out and about

We didn’t get up to too much this week (next week will be busy, so this was like the calm before the storm).

After our weekly Sing and Sign session, we walked around the park and Pumpkin had a go on the swings, the roundabout and the slide (with me hanging on to her of course).

We also went to Mini Montessori again, but after a bad night (she’s teething again), she was in a bit of a grump. She fell asleep in my arms during the sing-along at the end, which elicited a lot of broody looks from the toddler mums.

Fun at home

We got a used Jumperoo on Sunday. I say used, but it looks brand new. Half the cost of new though, so thanks Gumtree! Although she loved the one at Mini Montessori, Pumpkin wasn’t so thrilled with this one. I’m blaming her teething moodiness. She finally started to enjoy it last night and bounced for quite a while.

We also tried the painting-in-a-plastic bag sensory activity that I’ve seen so many mums blogging about. Pumpkin poked at it for two minutes, then screamed bloody murder until I picked her up. Will try again in a few weeks. At least I got a photo first.

Time for me

There hasn’t been much, I’m afraid. With Pumpkin’s grumpiness, I haven’t been able to put her down, not to mention get any time for me. Daddy-man has been helping as much as possible, taking her for walks and such, but I usually spend that time cleaning or sleeping. I did get a long soak in the tub last night though.

My happiest moment

Last Sunday, I was making Pumpkin a bottle after her bath and Daddy-man was holding her. I came back in from the kitchen and she was passed out in his arms. It was so sweet. She doesn’t do this too often, so it always makes him happy too.

Next week I would like to try

I’m going to attempt a bit of baking. I haven’t done much since Pumpkin was born, but I do love it. It’ll be a bit experimental, as I want to do something for an Angel Delight post/review that I’ve agreed to do. Some of Hubby’s work friends will be my guinea pigs. 🙂

We’ll also be going to the Baby Show – I’ve not been to one before, so I’m not sure what to expect.

  1. Mmmm Angel Delight!! I will keep an eye out for what you end up making as I love it!! *makes mental note to add it to shopping list*
I love the photo of Pumpkin asleep on Daddy-man, babies sleeping are just so adorable, I can totally see why those mums were feeling broody when she fell asleep on you!
I tried the paint in a bag too and just about managed a photo before L had enough haha! Ah well, at least we try!
Thank you for joining in our #HappyDaysLinky, see you again next week! x

    • I’m glad mine wasn’t the only one to not be impressed by the painting in the bag thing.
I made biscuits with the angel delight – I’ll post the recipe and photos sometime soon. The new bubble gum flavour is really tasty (but only available from Tesco, apparently)
      Thanks for the linky!

  2. aww lovely photos! My son had a jumperoo and loved it! Don’t stress too much about the cleaning.. life’s too short I say 🙂 Good luck with the baking!! xx

    • Oh, I never stress too much about the cleaning. I agree that life’s too short, but our house is seriously starting to look awful. With baby about to start crawling any day, something needs to be done. 🙂

  3. Gorgeous photos as always – love the one of Pumpkin on daddy! 🙂
The paint in a bag has been a bit hit and miss with us – always depends on the little lady’s mood!
Ohh, can’t wait to see what you make with the Angel Delight – intrigued!
I’ve never been to a baby show either (mainly because I’m sure I’ll spend too much money).
Thanks for linking up with our #happydayslinky
Hope to see you again next week.

    • Ha! Spending money is a major concern about the baby show. Luckily (?!) we don’t have any money for me to spend. So it’s purely a research mission. 🙂

  4. I love the photo with the spider hat!!! Amazing! Aw I love it when they fall asleep on you, it doesn’t happen enough anymore. Growing too fast already 🙁 #happydyslinky

    • I wish she’d keep the spider hat on. She likes chewing on the legs too much. And yes, I love it when she falls asleep on me. It’s something I’ll never get tired of.

  5. Oh my! That spider hat is AMAZING! I love your happiest moment 🙂 It’s such a lovely addition to the round-up!

Thanks for linking up to #TWTWC xx
